Top EV Battery Manufacturers — 2014 Top 10 In Sales

Comprehensive sales figures for EV Battery manufacturers in 2014 recently became available, giving us further insight into the fast-growing market. Altogether, the year saw an increase of 54% over the previous year. As far as the major players in the market, those haven't change, yet - BYD has definitely been growing in preence and market share. Energy Storage Market toHit $50Billion by 2020 (Lux Research)

The global energy storage market will rise to $50 billion by the year 2020, according to Lux Research — with a predicted compound annual growth rate of 8% until then. Much of the predicted rise will be in “transportation applications,” which will rise to $21 billion by 2020, according to Lux Research. Narrowing the gap between that portion of the market and the portion represented by electronics — which is predicted to rise to $27 billion by 2020. China Electric Car Flying

Electric car sales in China were quite lame last year, but things have really been picking up this year, and September just set a new record that even compares with US electric car sales, which are routinely the highest in the world. Nonetheless, there’s still a long way to go, as electric cars’ share of the overall automobile market in China was just 0.33%.
